Avatar and Dungeon Keepers can stake their NFTs and earn our token in return. Staking does NOT affect existing features like locking and NFT linking--they will all work the same. You can lock and unlock a staked or unstaked dungeon. You will be required to stake your dungeon in order to edit it with our , or to earn tokens that can be redeemed for the awesome member-only items available on our , like access to exclusive whitelists from the most sought-after projects in the space, free NFTs, and additional dungeon features like portals. This detailed guide will show you how to stake.
Navigate to the menu and click the Staking & Rewards button.
If this is your first time staking, you'll be presented with the Grant Approval page:
In order to stake you must Grant Approval to our staking contract. If you'd like to review the source code for this contract, you can find it here:
When you're reading to Grant Approval, click the Grant Approval button.
You'll be presented with a Metamask popup, click confirm.
After the approval transaction has gone through, you'll arrive at the Rewards page. Go ahead an click on Unstaked Dungeons in the left menu.
You'll arrive at the Unstaked Dungeons page. Choose the dungeons you want to stake, or click Select All to select them all. When you're ready, click Stake Dungeons and then when the Metamask popup appears, click confirm.
Note that you'll pay gas fee for staking your dungeons, depending on how many you choose, that can range anywhere from $10-$40 / dungeon, depending on the current price of Gwei. You can find this price in Metamask
Choose the Dungeons you'd like to Unstake, or click Select All to select them all.
When you're ready, click the Unstake Selected Dungeons and then when the Metamask popup appears, click confirm.
Note that you'll pay gas fee for unstaking your dungeons, depending on how many you choose, that can range anywhere from $10-$40 / dungeon, depending on the current price of Gwei. You can find this price in Metamask
After the staking transaction has finished, it will take approximately 15 minutes before you stop receiving DNG tokens on the Polygon sidechain.
When you're ready, click the Revoke button in the center of the page and then when the Metamask popup appears, click confirm.
Note that you'll pay gas fee for revoking approval.
After the Revoke Approval transaction has finished, you can still click on Staked Dungeons to unstake at any time. However, you will no longer be able to stake dungeons.
You'll arrive at the Reward Balance page, which looks as follows:
Here you can a summary of the $DNG tokens you have accumulated to date, broken down by day, hour, minute, and second.
You can also see how many Dungeons, Avatars, and Quests you have staked, along with the rates by which each reward type accumulates.
ie:
Each Dungeon earns 10 DNG / day or 0.000115740740741 DNG / second
Each Avatar earns 5 DNG / day or 0.000057870370370 DNG / second
Each Quest earns 3 DNG / day or 0.000034722222222 DNG / second
If you click on your Reward Balance, you'll also get a breakdown of how your DNG/day is calculated, based on the NFTs you've staked.
After the staking transaction has finished, it will take approximately 15 minutes for the DNG tokens to begin updating on the Polygon sidechain, where our tokens accumulate. You'll earn 10 DNG per day per staked dungeon, as mentioned in the section.
To Unstake, head over to the Staking & Rewards area of the section and click on Staked Dungeons.
You only need to Grant Approval to stake--it's not necessary to unstake. If you'd prefer to Revoke Approval, you can do so by heading over to the Staking & Rewards area of the section and click on the Revoke Approval button on the left menu.
